Over the past week, twelve TCU/IAM Advanced Training students participated in a work-based learning project with Keolis Commuter Services. Students traveled aboard MBTA Commuter Rail trains conducting Customer Satisfaction Surveys with passengers throughout the rail system. This project typically takes place twice each year during the Spring and Fall seasons.
The initiative has become one of the program’s most successful work-based learning partnerships to date. The team exceeded its original goal of collecting 1,200 completed surveys, reaching an impressive total of 1,358 surveys completed as of May 20.
In addition to supporting a real-world transportation operation, the experience helps students strengthen communication, professionalism, and customer service skills in a live passenger rail environment.
The project was coordinated and supervised by A2 Consulting of France. Carole Gailliau, project lead, praised the students’ professionalism and dedication, stating, “It’s a great campaign with great teams made up of motivated students who are a pleasure to work with.”
