Student Spotlight: Jeremy Barnes

From Timber Lake Job Corps to the flight line at SFO, Jeremy Barnes has built an incredible aviation career through hard work, passion, and the support of the TCU/IAM program.

A 2009 graduate, Jeremy launched into the industry with SkyWest Airlines, gaining 8 years of hands-on experience. In 2016, he transitioned to United Airlines, where he now serves as a Ramp Service Employee, supporting aircraft like the 737 Max and 777—even working on missions involving Air Force One.

Proud IAM District Lodge 141 member since 2016, Jeremy’s salary is set to reach $64,626 annually (based on $31.07/hour full-time) by August 2025—a testament to the growth possible through Job Corps + TCU/IAM.
