Meet Scottei Montero, a trailblazer in the world of railcar mechanics.

From humble beginnings in the South Bronx, Scottei's journey to success is inspiring. A graduate of the Transportation Communications Union/IAM Railcar Mechanics program at Excelsior Springs Job Corps, Scottei wasted no time making his mark in the industry.

In just his first year at Canadian Pacific Railway, Scottei earned over $150,000, a testament to his dedication and skill. But for Scottei, it's not just about the paycheck. "Believe in yourself. When you know something's right, keep going for it. Don't let anybody underestimate you. Only you know your own value," he shares.

From serving in the US Marine Corps to delivering food orders in Manhattan, Scottei's path led him to Job Corps, where he honed his welding skills and then pursued advanced training to become a Railcar Mechanic. His journey hasn't been easy, but it's taught him the value of hard work and perseverance.

Now based in Minnesota, Scottei works tirelessly as a Lead Carman, repairing railcars across the northern region. Despite the challenges of the job, Scottei remains undeterred, embracing each day as an opportunity for growth and adventure.

With his sights set on the future, Scottei is determined to make a difference in his own life and those around him. His message is clear: believe in yourself, keep pushing forward, and never let anyone underestimate your worth.
